Given fibronectin's multidomain structure, it isn't surprising that it interacts with so many other molecules. Some of these are of questionable physiological significance, little more than in vitro curiosities. For example, Fn was reported to bind actin [ref] but it is not clear that these two proteins ever encounter each other in a living system. In this section we review some reported interactions that may be of interest.
